Childcare Specialist 

This one-semester program is designed for those seeking employment in the childcare industry or those already working in the childcare environment who wish to expand formal skills.  Curriculum (in class and online combination) will cover learning theory, child care methods, child development, special topics such as working with special needs children and finally competencies related to supervision/leadership.  Students who complete this track will earn a Marketable Skills Achievement Award in Childcare Management.  Textbooks included. (155 hours)  Must register for entire track

Keeping Order in Daycare

This class will provide insight for the childcare provider into positive and non-punitive techniques for effective guidance and discipline.  Each development stage will be discussed along with the appropriate actions for individual and group management. (8 hrs.)
