The following four topics have been cited as the initial theory courses aligned with Plumbing; Apprentice Electrician; Industrial Maintenance Technician and HVAC Technician. Based upon student response, the remainder of a comprehensive track will be planned for spring 2010 in a fast-track format leading to a Marketable Skills Achievement Award. Occupational specific credentialing will be earned from respective agencies, such as Texas Department of Licensing and Regulatory Services.
Basic Electrical Theory
Basic theory and practice of electrical circuits. Includes calculations as applied to alternating and direct current. (64 hours)
