Non-Commissioned Security Officer
This one-semester track is designed to cover the first two portions of the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau curriculum to gain credentials as a non-commissioned security officer. You will also earn an OSHA safety certification. The Bureau mandates that any individual making application for this occupational area must meet the following guidelines: 1) 18 years of age; 2) No criminal record; 3) No addiction to drugs or alcohol; 4) Mental soundness; 5) Honorable military discharge; 6) Must be a “bona fide” employee of the company sponsoring application. Fee is $425, with a payment plan option available. (84 hours)

Topics encompass professionalism, roles./responsibilities/liabilities, leadership, safety, field notes and report writing. (74 hours)
