Fire Science Technology Program

 

The Fire Science Technology program at NCTC offers various jobs within the First Responder world.  Currently, we offer training for Basic Firefighter Certification in accordance of the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP).

 

Advisement Sessions are a mandatory requirement to enroll into the Fire Academy Program. Please contact the EMS Department Assistant at 940-498-6237 to schedule your Advisement Session.

After attending an Advisement Session, there are many tasks that need to be completed prior to enrolling in the program.  The initial step you must take to get into the program is to apply to the college.  The registrar's office at the Corinth campus can be reached at 940-498-6281 or you may apply online on the NCTC website.  Admission Requirements are listed on the next page and must be completed before admission into NCTC’s Fire Program is granted.

 

Fire Program

 

Basic Firefighter Certification (TCFP) – The Basic Firefighter Certification course is offered every Spring and Fall semesters. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8a.m. to 5 p.m. Currently, NCTC does not offer a night class or shift based class.
