"SPRING CONSTELLATIONS "

Is a locally produced show narrated by Planetarium Director Dr. Ron Bost.   Beginning with the evening sky on the particular date of the show and ending with sunrise the following morning, Dr. Bost shows how to locate and identify the major constellations and stars visible during the night.   Although designed primarily as educational and informative, the show is quite entertaining and can be adjusted for varying age groups.   (Time:   approximately 30-45 minutes depending on age of the group).

"BEAR TALES"

Join us on a family camping trip under the stars and listen in as the family is entertained by Grandpa Ben's lively tall tales about the night sky.   Drawing freely from all mythologies and his own imagination to explain the stars' positions in the night sky, Grandpa takes us on a tour of the spring constellations explaining how and why they are there.   The result is a fun and educational show that can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.   (Time: 35 minutes).

“DAUGHTER OF THE STARS”

View our newest presentation. The earliest inhabitants of North America had legends about the sky quite different from their Mediterranean and Asian counterparts.

“Daughter of the Stars” showcases a number of these legends from tribes across the entire continent.   (Time: Approximately 30-45 minutes depending on age group).
