Bowie Campus is committed in its continuous outreach in order to enhance the lives of rural Texans.

Based in an area that serves a largely rural population with socioeconomic challenges, the need for higher education and skilled workforce training is essential for a bright future for Montague County citizens.

About the Campus

The Bowie Campus opened in 2000, and has had a great impact on the lives of the Montague County citizens. Responding to the needs of the community, citizens of Bowie voted for a half-cent sales tax channeled through an economic development foundation. The 16,000 square foot, $2.196 million building accommodates a state-of-the-art training facility with a library, a Student Success Center, and learning labs.

The 8,700 square foot facility has state-of-the-art Lincoln welding equipment used in the oil and gas industry as well as the heavy fabrication industry. The ITC also has CNC machining mills and lathes, as well as manual mills and lathes for training machinists in the latest industry requirements.

Library

Bowie’s library was added when the Bowie 4B, EDC, Bowie Economic Development Board, along with oil and gas industry partners then funded a 6560 sq. ft. expansion to the existing building.

Connected With the Community

The Montague County Foundation Board, the county Chambers of Commerce, various civic and church organizations, local banking institutions, and the City of Bowie are vital areas of support for the Bowie campus. Scholarships continue to grow because of the community's generosity and deep commitment to NCTC. "This Week at NCTC," is a weekly live radio show on KNTX-1410 AM.

Through communication and continued support of this campus, the hope is to spread the good news of opportunity and growth through higher education. These are exciting times and the Bowie campus is proud to be a part of the team that is "putting education to work" in Montague County.
