Phlebotomy Technician Program Overview
Our Phlebotomy Technician program offers skill development in the performance of a variety of blood collection methods, using proper techniques and standard precautions. With an emphasis on infection prevention, patient identification, specimen labeling, quality assurance, specimen handling, processing, accessioning, professionalism, ethics, and medical terminology.
Learn venipuncture and capillary puncture in this program that teaches the basics of phlebotomy. Our program is taught by a Medical Laboratory Clinician with over a decade of experience. This program requires 48 hours of Lecture and 112 hours of externship (site list provided).

Admission Requirements
Age Requirements: 18+ at registration
Basic Reading and Math Assessment (CASAS)
Must show proof of high school diploma, GED or college transcripts
Criminal Background Check
Must provide proof of current Immunizations
Must have current CPR certification or enroll in a CPR class
