CDL TRAINING program overview
Commercial driver's license training (or CDL training) is a specialized instructional program designed to prepare a student to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL), which is required to operate large or heavy vehicles such as a passenger bus, dump truck, tractor-trailer truck, or concrete mixer. Driving a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) requires a higher level of knowledge, experience, skills, and physical abilities than that required to drive a non-commercial vehicle. In order to obtain a CDL, an applicant must pass both skills and knowledge testing geared to these high standards. The CDL program includes a combination of in-classroom and behind-the-wheel training. The tuition for this program is $5,500.
