Get the knowledge and skills needed to compete in today's agricultural industry
Agriculture refers to industries that grow crops, raise animals and livestock, grow decorative plants, and/or conserve and preserve wildlife and their natural habitats. Careers in this field, are highly varied. Some jobs are physically demanding and require specialized labor skills. Others, more on the business end, require knowledge of technology and effective communication skills.
The best part of pursuing a career in Ag is that you don’t necessarily need a four-year degree to enter the workforce. NCTC’s degree programs provide you with well-rounded, practical education and training.

Farm & Ranch Management
Agronomy, Livestock Evaluation, Livestock Feeds/Feeding, Plant Protection, Beef Cattle Management, Pasture Management, Soil Management, Farm & Ranch Record Keeping, Wildlife Conservation
Equine Science
Equine Science, Horse Evaluation, Equine Behavior & Training, Equine Reproduction, Equestrian (Riding), Equine Enterprise or Business Management
Horticulture
Horticulture Principles/Science, Floral Design, Environmental Awareness, Sustainability & Conservation, Food Crops, Turf Grass Management, Landscape Design, Small Farming, Soil Management, Greenhouse Management, Plant Identification, Irrigation
Agriculture Programs offer three types of degrees
Basic Level 1 Certificate
A Basic Certificate is also sometimes called an Occupational Skills Award (OSA). It is a Certificate that can be earned in a single semester.
Level 1 Certificate
The Certificate is intended to earned in one year with approximately 30 credit hours.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree
The AAS Degree is earned in two years with 60 credit hours minimum completed.
Both Certificates will transfer readily into the AAS Degree program.
