Local celebrities to dance for scholarships

Several local celebrities will be strutting their stuff on the dance floor this spring to help raise scholarship money for Montague County students to attend North Central Texas College (NCTC).

The Rotary Club of Bowie and the North Central Texas College Montague County Foundation have teamed up to bring back their popular fundraiser, a Dancing to the Stars Competition.

The big event will be held in the spring next year, on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the Bowie Community Center, located at 413 Pelham Street Bowie, Texas.

Area celebrities and partners who have agreed to dance include Dylan Slade & McKinsey Cleveland; Phyllis Matlock & Peter Johnson; Joseph & Shayla Delgado; Jazmin Briza & Frankie Pair; Jill Gardner & Ron Moses; Christie Craddock & Eric Steinkopff; Maddie Ferguson & Kaden Shelton; Dave & Catherine Woodbury; Lauren & Royce Bantham. They will be vying for the prestigious Mirror Ball Trophy and People’s Choice award.

In addition to enjoying fabulous entertainment and a delicious dinner, attendees of this exciting event will be raising scholarship funds for Montague County students attending NCTC, as well as supporting additional charitable activities hosted by the Bowie Rotary Club.

General admission ticket sales for the event will open on March 1, 2023, and attendance for this event will be limited so everyone is encouraged to purchase tickets from the dance group you would like to support in advance. Ticket sales do count as votes when purchased from the dance group.

Sponsorships for Dancing to the Stars are being accepted now, with various giving options to support this event and the students in Montague County.
