‘Twas the Night Before Christmas premieres in Gainesville and Denton

NCTC Drama presents the family holiday comedy, Ken Ludwig’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas on November 18 at 7:30 PM, with a sensory friendly performance on November 19 at 2:30 PM, and a matinee on November 20 at 2:30 PM at the First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts on the NCTC Campus in Gainesville.

It will also be performed on December 2 & 3 at 7:30 PM and December 4 at 2:30 PM at the Black Box Theater on the First State Bank Exchange NCTC Denton Campus.

Ludwig’s play begins with the traditional poem by Clement Clarke Moore, “‘Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.”

But a mouse is stirring because Santa missed his house last year, leading to the wild adventures of the mouse, an elf, and a spunky little girl who just won’t take “no” for an answer.

The production features Sara Neighbors as Amos the Mouse; Keeley King as Emily; James Hunter as Uncle Brierly; Nikki King as Calliope the Elf; Channing Robinson as Sir Guy; and, Kelsee Hanks as Mulch, his dimwitted sidekick. It is directed by Thom Talbott-Garcia with Technical Direction and Sound Design by Missy Embrey and Light Design by Austin Creswell.

Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for Youth (High School and Younger). All tickets for the Sensory Friendly production on November 19 are $5. Tickets are available at nctc.universitytickets.com.
