“North Central Texas College helps many students to obtain their goals. In high school, I took dual credit classes through NCTC which helped me to be prepared for the next step in my education. I have benefited by having such an amazing college so close to home. I look forward to continuing my education at NCTC. This scholarship will greatly help me in my journey to ultimately become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Thank you for your generous scholarship. It will be put to good use!”

Due to the pandemic, money has been a little tighter and I have two more classes to go until I finish my associate’s and my prerequisites to get into a Dental Hygiene program. “I had lost my job during COVID and have not had much income to put towards continuing my education. I started going back to school to try and help prevent from being laid off ever again by giving myself a new set of skills that are too valuable to go without. When out of work, I couldn't think of a better way to spend my time. I hate to think money could be a major reason for stopping this major advancement... but it is a reality. This scholarship puts me one semester closer to seeing my goals come to fruition.”
